Mr. Tollie Dee Weatherington, 78, of Dogwood Drive, Columbus, GA, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2005 in the chapel of People’s Funeral Service; Pastor Vince Allen officiating. Interment will be in Westview cemetery, Atlanta, GA. Mr.. Weatherington was born July 25, 1926 in Midland City, son of Fletcher and Lela Mae Carroll Weatherington. He retired from Greenwald Industries of Brooklyn, NY after 32 years. His son, Darryl Weatherington, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Russell Weatherington; 2 stepdaughters, Kathy L and Kristie M Russell; a brother, Loyce Weatherington of Petersburg, VA,

He was born March 30, 1930 in Atlanta, son of Annie Mae McGhee and Soni Weaver of Florida. He worked for the Muscogee County School District and for Tom's Foods. He retired from the military and was the widower of Hazel Mae Weaver. Survivors include three sons, Howard Anthony Weaver, Robert Lee Weaver and Walter Lee Weaver, Jr.; a brother, Reverend Robert Miles, Jr., twenty ive grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be hald at 2 p.m. at New Life Community Baptist Church in Pine Mountain, GA and burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery in Columbus. Reverend Emmanuel Whitfield will officiate.
