She was born November 10, 1923 in Bullock County, AL, daughter of Charles and Leola Moore Pritchett. She was a member of God's Covenant CHurch and was the widow of J B Surles. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jessie Mae Everett, a son, Johnny Surles; 2 brothers, Rufus Pritchett and Murphy Pritchell and a sister, Mary Lee Smith. Survivors include 5 sons, James Surles of Mansfield, TX, Alfred Surles of Fankfurt, Germany, Albert (Cheryl) Surles of Iraq, Walter Surles of Columbus, GA and A V (Sarah) FLintroy of Detroit, MI; 3 daughters, Willie Mae (William) Gill of Stockbridge, GA, Annie (Richard) Lawrence of College Park, GA and Pamelia (Dwayne) Burke of COlumbus; 27 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; 4 brothers, Willie (Martha) Pritchett of Tampa, FL, David Lee (Mary Ann) Pritchett of Newark, NJ, CHarles Pritchett Jr of Boston, MA and Johnny (Doris) Pritchett of Montgomery, AL; 5 sisters, Viola Boswell of COlumbus, Annie Ruth Henderson and Geneva Pritchett of Boston, MA, Hattie Martin and Mattie Martin of Union Springs, AL; Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, August 20, 2007 at Bethany Worship Center in Columbus. He was born March 10, 1913 in Macon County, GA, son of Isaiah Sutton and Willie Wiggins Sutton. H married Ella mae Hosley. A daughter, mary Edith Brooks preceded him in death. He was a member of Zion Hill Primitive Baptist Church and retired from Kent State University in Akron, OH as a maintenance engineer. About 1991 he returned to Buena Vista. Survivors include a son, Tommie Sutton, Jr of Buena Vista, GA, 16 grandchildren, a sister, Catherine Griffin of macon, GA and a brother, Charlie Sutton of Ideal, GA.
