She was born March 15, 1905 in Macon County, GA, daughter of William and Susie Bailey Taylor. She was a member of Glory Hope Primitive Baptist Church for 45 years. Preceding her in death were 3 children, Oscar McKenzie, Hazel McKenzie, and O J Jones. Eleven siblings also preceded her in death. Survivors include her children: Grace Paster and Felton McKenzie of Marshallville, GA, Susie Anna Johnson of Miami, FL, Bernice Howard of Mt Holly, NJ and Earlene Waters of Hartford, CT and 29 grandchildren. |

She became a cosmetology instructor at Columbus Tech. She was a Methodist and was preceded in death by her sister, Harriett Bellamy in 2004.
