James M Flowers, 74, of 413 Mount Pleasant Drive, Columbus, GA, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11 at St Elmo Baptist Church in Omaha, GA with Reverend J. I. Williams officiating and burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Columbus. He was born March 29, 1931 in Stewart County, GA, son of James and Daisy Bell Willis Flowers, Sr., and Albert Lamb. He retired from Johns-Manville Manufacturing Company. He was a member of St Elmo Baptist Church. Two brothers and a sister, Arthur Flowers, Grady Flowers, Hattie mae Hardrick Atichison, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Addie Lee Jones Flowers; two sons, James (Vera) Flowers III and Brian (Tomekia) Holmes; two daughters Kyle (William) Singleton and Stacey Hicks; a brother in law, Joseph Crayton of Jersey City, NJ; three sisters in law, Betty Flowers, Zobedia Flowers and Annie Benefield; grandchildren, Erica Daugett, Albert Richardson III, Anthony Richardson, Cierra Flowers, James Flowers IV, Jordan Flowers, Samuel Covington, Jaishari Pack, Shakeema Bethea, Kawon Hicks, Brittany Holmes, Indigo Hicks, Briana Holmes and Jalen; great grandchildren, Keshawn Betha and Michael Gentry. nieces, Sylvia Flowers and Brenda Daugett.
