She was born February 26, 1949 in Midland, daughter of Ethel Thornton Green and the late Willie A Green Sr. She was a member of Hoepwell Baptist Church in Upatoi, GA and later united with Locust Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Carver High School in Columbus and studied at Columbus College and Columbus Technical Institute. She was employed by Davidson's Department Store (Macy's) and White's Book Store and later worked with Burnham Service Corporation and currently with Green Point Mortgage in Columbus in 1998. Survivors include her mother, Mrs Ethel Thornton Green of Midland; a sister, Mary Green Robinson of Smyrna, GA; a brother, Willia A Green Jr of Detroit, a sister, Rosetta Green Blaylock and brother, Adolphus Thornton who preceded her in death; an uncle, Abraham (Evelyn) Thornton of Detroit cousin Roseanna Dunns and nephew, Ryan Keith Blaylock.
