Mrs. Zera B Wiggins Sr., of 1419 North Lee Street, Americus, GA, died July 22, 1987. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St Paul A.M.E Church in Andersonville with Reverend E. X. King officiating with burial in Staley Memorial Cemetery in Americus. He was born in August 1902, son of Moses and Anna Wiggins of Schley County, GA.He joined Marietta A.M.E. Church of Andersonville and later with St Paul A.M.E. Church. He married Jennie Murray on May 29, 1927. She preceded him in death after fifty years of marriage. He was the owner of Wiggins Grocery Store. Survivors include a son, Moses Wiggins of New York City; two daughters, Mrs. Josephine Cooper of Americus and Mrs. Mattie Edge of Montgomery, AL; brothers, Sheppard Wiggins of Chicago and Custer Wiggins of Andersonville; fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
