He was born September 2, 1939 in Sumter County, GA, son of Ernest Waters and the late Mrs Lou Jessie Brown Waters. Survivors include 4 daughters, Mrs Jessie (Dennis) Billings, Ms Essie Waters, Sarah Waters, and Mrs Tamika (Eddie) Merritt; 3 sons, Arthur (Elizabeth) Mable, Jessie Waters Jr and McArthur Waters; 2 brothers, Arthur Lee (Hattie) Waters and Eddie Lee Waters. a sister, Ms Maggie Greene, 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
