Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Ruth Hill, 61, of Andersonville, GA, who died Thursday at Sumter Regional Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Hayes officiating and burial in Freeman Hill Cemetery. She was born in Lee County, GA and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Edna Hayes, Ms Catherine Hill, Mrs. Ruby Thomas, all of Atlanta; Mrs. Irene Brown and Ms Mattie Lou Hill, all of Andersonville; sons, Charlie Hill, Alfronza Hill and Bernard Hill, all of Andersonville; three stepchildren, James Kendrick of Williamsburg, VA, Geneva Smith and Velma Bateman; both of Americus; 14 grandchildren.

She was born October 29, 1921 in Macon County, GA, daughter of Jack and Hattie Ellis. She was the widow of Charlie Hillmon, pastor of the House of Worship Church of God in Christ and a member of New Life Holiness Church. Survivors include children: Gladys Hillmon, Georgia Ann Hillmon and Rene Johnson, all of Atlanta, Mary Ann Floyd, Gloria Bennett of Rego Park, NY; Celessie Hillmon, Shirley Hillmon, Larry Hillmon, Marvin Hillmon, Eddie Hillmon and James Hillmon, all of Oglethorpe; Terry Hillmon of Macon, John Robert Hillmon of Montezuma, and Johnny C Hillmon of St Petersburg; sisters in law, Alma Hillmon, Clotee Myers and Eva Ross of Butler, 18 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Marvin Hillman of 716 Smith Road, Oglethorpe, GA, died Thursday, July 7, 2005 at Flint River Hospital in Montezuma, GA. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2005 at Zion Temple Primitive Baptist Church in Oglethorpe with burial in Oglethorpe City cemetery. He was born February 15, 1951, in Macon County, GA, son of Charlie and Hattie Mae Ellis. Two siblings, Rene Johnson and Johnny C Hillmon, preceded him in death.Hhis wife was the former Margaret Bivins. He was employed as a truck driver for the Sanitation Department of Montezuma. He enlisted in the US Army National Guard on November 3, 1973, served in Company C, 15th Bn, 4th Brigade, USAARC at For Knox, KY; retiring with 22 years service in 1995. Church of the Big Oak Community. This church and Big Bethel A.M.E> Church merged in 1971. She retired from Southern Frozen Foods in 1989 as a vegetable grader. Burial will be in the Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Montezuma. She was bor July 1, 1910 in Dole, GA, daughter of the late Charlie Thomas and Everlene Sanders Thomas, 1 of 11 siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Nelson Sr and her siblings: Annie Mae Thomas Clay, Bobbie Adams, Lena Adams, twin sisters, Lula (Wilson James) and Lillie Andrews, Preston Bridges, Elzie Bridges, her twin sister, Alice Thomas, her baby sister, Aaron and her brother, Rufus Adams (who died in 1999 - age 102). She was reared in Worth County, GA and later moved to Sumter County and finally to Macon County, GA. He was born July 13, 1950 in Macon County, GA, son of Oliver and Lula Pearl Tookes Hudson Sr.. He served two consecutives terms with the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged August 15, 1978. He retired as a Rail Lineman from Marta after 21 years of service in 1999. He was also employed with Cox Communications as a wire system installer. Harvey Hudson Jr, 69, of Montezuma, GA, died Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Flint River Community Hospital in Montezuma. Funeral services wil be held at 3 p.m, Saturday, November 3, 2007 at First Salem Baptist Church in Montezuma. Burial will be in Champ Waters Cemetery in Montezuma. He was born October 10, 1938 in Macon County, GA, son of Harvey Hudson Sr and te late Bertha Tookes Hudson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Felton Hudson and by a brother, Archie Hudson. He was a retired truck driver for Southern Frozen Foods. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Amdrilla (Delroy) Erskine of Hartford, CT, Donald (Gloria) Hudson Sr of Montezuma, Beverly (Larry Sr)Stephens of Oglethorpe; 9 grandchildren, Donald (LaeKate) Hudson Jr of Norfolk, VA, Keven H Hudson, Caven J Hudson, both of Montezuma, Brandon Stephens, Larry Stephens Jr, Rosietta Stephens, all of Oglethorpe, Kaydine Erskine of 29 Palms, CA, Richard Erskine, Iraq and Sushane Erskine of Hartford, CT; a great grandson, Ja'Darius Hudson of Norfolk, VA; his father; 8 siblings and their spouses, Mary Emma (Newray) Wallace, Maxine (Melvin) Range, Irene (Willie Joe) Wiggins, Albert Hudson(Patricia Williams) of Albany, Charles Hudson, all of Oglethorpe, Gloria H (Roosevelt) Meadows of Ideal, GA, Ernestine (Billy Thomas) Livingston of Byromville, GA and Allen (Patricia) of Albany.

Mrs Ocie Lee Minter Hudson, 56, of Ellaville, GA, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Flint River Comunity Hospital in Montezuma, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2007 at Quebec Baptist Church in Ellaville, GA. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Schley County, GA. She was born January 21, 1951 in Ellaville, daughter of Ocenia Minte and Oscar Terry. She was a 1969 graduate of John LEwis High School and lived in Atlanta, GA many years. Survivors include 2 children, Barbara Ellison of Lithisa Springs, GA and Jerry Hudson Jr of Antioch, TN; 2 grandchildren, Deion Johnson and U'Savior Ellison, both of Lithia Springs; 3 siblings, Irene Minter, Willie Lee Minter and Charles Minter, all of Decatur, GA; brothers in law, Mack Hudson of Ellaville; aunts and uncles, Dollie Mae Cauley, Catherine King, both of Ellaville, Myrtice Lee (Alton) McClendon, Annie Kate Solomon, all of New York, NY, Albert Minter and Mike Minter, boh of Atlanta, Zola Minter of Americus; nephews and nieces, Nicholas Minter, Willie Lee Minter Jr, Denise Minter, Cheryl Williams and Bobby Williams; cousins, Buena Ann Cauley of Ellenwood, GA, Lena Mae King of Atlanta, innie Littrell, Gladis Fudge and Virginia Stafford, all of Columbus, GA.

Mrs Ora Mae Hudson, 67, of 166 Andrews Drive, Americus, GA, died September 12, 1987. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Mt Calvary primitive Baptist Church in Andersonville with Elder Jasper Stewart officiating with burial in Staley Memorial Cemetery in Americus. She was born in Macon County, GA and was a member of Mt Calvary Primitive Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Metalux Corporation of Americus. Survivors include 5 daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean King of Columbus, Mrs. Mary Alice Bryant of Washington, DC, Mrs. Shirley Ingram of Albany, GA, Mrs. Brenda Joyce Boone of Americus and Ms Cathy Delaine Hudson of Atlanta; 4 sisters, Mrs. Dora Elizabeth Carter of Americus, Mrs. Essie Lee Johnson of Ellaville, Mrs. Mary Lou Hauges of Hollis, NY and Mrs. Catherine Denson of Wester, NY; 3 brothers, Albert Clifford Hudson and will Henry Hudson, both of New Brighton, PA and Freddie B Lumpkin of Orange Park, FL and 10 grandchildren.
