She was born July 28, 1945 in Talbotton, GA, daughter of Frank and Alma Turner McBride. She was retired from the Muscogee County Board of Education. She was preceded in death by her son, Marion McBride. Survivors include a daughter in law, Linda McBride; 2 ggrandchildren, Erica McBride and Lorenzo "Pete" Johnson, of COlumbus; 3 great grandchildren, Erria McBride, Jamal Johnson and Jessica Johnson; 3 nieces and a nephew, Michael Wagner, Cheryl Wagner, Rac Ann Wagner, Kantrone Wagner and Angelette Mathis.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Buena Vista with burial in the church cemetery. He was born April 16, 1942 in Marion County, GA, son of Will McBride and Fannie Jamerson. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was a nephew, Johnnie McBride and a sister, Annie McBride and a brother, James McBride. He retired from Pasco Steel of Columbus with 30 years service. Survivors include brothers: Willie (Lillian) McBride of Wilmington, DE and Carey (Lois) McBride of Buena Vista; nephews/niece: Eugene McBride, Willie James McBride and Emma Pearl Jones.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 11 at 11 a.m. at Jehovah Baptist Church in Oglethorpe with burial in Andersonville National cemetery. He was born July 19, 1954 in Oglethorpe, son of Charlie and Eula Mae Dice McCants Sr.. Four siblings, Willie James McCants, Charlie McCants Jr, Ulysses McCants and Eddie McCants preceded him in death. He was a 1974 graduate of Macon County High School and a US Marine Corp veteran. He was employed with C E Minerals of Andersonville for twenty-seven years. He wed Mary Larkins on September 18, 1976 and was ordained a deacon at Ebenezer Baptist Church and on April 28, 2002 he was called into the ministry and was associate minister at Ebenezer Baptist Church. In March 2004, he was pastor of Triedstone Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years; his children, Curtis McCants Jr, Monica McCants and Erica McCants; grandsons, Curtis Micah and Kevion Daequon McCants; siblings, Ocie Lee Ivory, Bessie Raines, Richard McCants, J W McCants, Ida Pearl McCants, Jeffery McCants, Aaron McCants and Cynthia McCants Banks.
